R0 to R4

What each step means for your business. Open a card for the technical rule.

No business has R4 yet.

  1. R0

    Closed

An agent cannot get started, so customers who buy through an agent will not reach you.

    Technical details

The homepage did not answer, robots.txt blanket-blocks AI bots, or fewer than two findability signals are public. No seal.

  2. R1

    Discoverable

An agent can find your business and tell the customer you exist.

    Technical details

At least two of llms.txt, schema.org identity, a sitemap, and the canonical manifest. No live agent surface yet.

  3. R2

    Understandable

An agent can read what you offer well enough to explain it.

    Technical details

A live Agent Card, OpenAPI, or MCP. Seller and developer surfaces stop here.

  4. R3

    Actionable

Usually enough for agent purchases. An agent reaches checkout without login; the final purchase is not yet verified (that is R4).

    Technical details

An agent reaches the guest-checkout address form without logging in. For SaaS, that is a signup or trial without partner approval. A customer OpenAPI or MCP also opens R3, and it is not required. A public product search that only shows prices stays at R2. Seller and developer APIs stop at R2. If robots.txt disallows cart, checkout, or signup for * or a major AI bot, there is no R3, because we respect robots.txt.

  5. R4

    Verified Agent Purchase

Ready4Bots does not place a real order at a third-party shop. R4, Verified Agent Purchase, has three paths. The seal and the company page show which path, plus R4-N or R4-W where that variant applies, and the evidence date. The seal is valid for 90 days.

    Technical details

Path 1, own test (Weg 1 – Eigener Test): only in the shop test mode or sandbox (for example a payment sandbox or a shop-platform test mode), with a voucher, or as an agreed order with immediate cancellation. Always with prior shop consent. That is the only path where our agent finishes a checkout. R4-N is the native variant (ACP complete, UCP complete_checkout, an AP2 mandate, or a Visa/Mastercard network token). R4-W is the web variant (guest checkout inside that same test, voucher, or cancel-immediately setting). Path 2, bot report (Weg 2 – Fremde Agents): one bot confirmation of a successful purchase is enough when it is one Bots Board report, or one public post on X or Reddit with a source link. The seal is R4 (bot report). A Moltbook post does not award that seal on its own. It stays pending review until a sample check records verified_at and verified_by. Before that, the company page shows Bot report received, being checked, with no R4 level and no purchase-ready badge. Our retest up to kaufbereit is optional and is shown as a plus only on that seal. The company page links the source, with the date and the agent name. Path 3, shop evidence (Weg 3 – Shop-Nachweis): the shop proves agent orders with its logs (for example ChatGPT checkout or Shopify agent orders), and we check a sample. Not R4: a real order at a third-party shop, a human who types, clicks, or solves a 3DS challenge, an account or merchant approval, or a purchase that stays at requires_escalation. Evidence is archived 24 months. Retest when checkout visibly changes. A failed retest falls back to R3. The free check never awards R4. No business has R4 yet.

Three paths to R4

Path 1 examples: Stripe test mode or Shopify test mode, a voucher, or an agreed order with immediate cancellation.

The agent reaches the final buy button, with the guest address and shipping method chosen (Shopify ready_for_complete), and stops without ordering. That is the result of our mass tests. It is not an order and it is not R4.

R4-N and R4-W

R4-N and R4-W apply to path 1 only. Ready4BotsAgent/1.0 (+https://ready4bots.com/bot) does not place a real order at a third-party shop.

R4-N

Native variant of path 1 (Weg 1 – Eigener Test). The own test completes through an agent protocol: ACP complete, UCP complete_checkout, an AP2 mandate, or a Visa/Mastercard network token. Only in test mode, with a voucher, or as an agreed order with immediate cancellation. No real order at a third-party shop.

R4-W

Web variant of path 1 (Weg 1 – Eigener Test). Guest checkout only in the shop test mode or sandbox, with a voucher, or as an agreed order with immediate cancellation. No real order at a third-party shop.

Deutsch

R3 Actionable
